Start with the goal
Consider whether a purchase is essential now or can wait. Saving delays the purchase; borrowing creates a repayment obligation.
Compare whole costs
Look at total repayment, fees and possible savings growth. Savings returns are assumptions and may be reduced by tax and fees.
Protect everyday needs
Test the plan against lower income or higher living costs. A calculator does not replace independent advice tailored to your circumstances.
